Since its introduction in 1977, the TITAN Self-Support Tower has been used in over 15,000 successful installations across North America. Applications include telemetry, satellite TV, wireless LAN, wireless Internet, mobile radio and amateur radio. The TITAN self-supporting tower is a modular, pre-engineered system available in heights up to 96 ft. (28.8 m). The system consists of 12 different 8-ft (2.4 m) sections designed to interlock with one another. Material used for all members is formed, pre-galvanized steel sheets with a minimum yield of 35,000-psi. The diagonal members are installed at a shallow angle, allowing them to be climbed. The tower members are graded out with a high degree of finesse, producing a very cost-effective, high-strength tower. The Trylon TITAN towers are designed for failure ratings only and are not designed per EIA/TIA standards which allow for additional safety factors in the design. All antenna loadings shown represent maximum failure loadings with a "N/A" denoting tower failure at the corresponding wind speed. TITAN towers are not designed for heavy commercial applications.
